About John

My name is John Christiano. For the past seventeen years, I have been living and practicing as a certified(IPEC and ICF accredited) life coach in New York City. I have an educational background in both business and finance.  I have worked in the business world for over 25 years as a Stock Broker/Trader, a Finance Manager, and in Hotel/Restaurant/Nightclub management.  The common denominator of all of my professional endeavors has been the interpersonal relationships with my clients/associates.  Where do they come from?  What are their interests? What are not only their professional goals, but their personal values and ideals? What are their challenges?  How much of themselves do they share with other people? I have found the dynamic in all of these relationships to be very invigorating.

When I reflect back on my educational process, I recall those teachers who were fully engaged, enthusiastic, and passionate about teaching. They inspired me to stay hungry for knowledge and to reach far beyond what I thought I was capable of.  When I reflect on my work experiences, I remember those bosses who led by example and who championed me as an important member of a team effort. I love being a part of a team. There is a collective energy, where the possibilities are limitless.

The honest and organic exchange of energy during the coaching session is powerful. I am inspired, and my life is filled with purpose and meaning and usefulness. Service to others gives me more a sense of myself than anything else I have undertaken. Coaching is an absolute gift and I feel very blessed to be able to share the experience with my clients.
